The best place to start spreading the word about your fundraising challenge is to set up an online fundraising page, and send the link to everyone you know. Virgin Money Giving and Just Giving offer free services that are really easy to use. They send the money donated to your page directly to us, so there’s no need to worry about collecting the money from each of your sponsors. See below for more information about setting up your page.

They are a safe and effective way to raise your sponsorship money without the usual sponsorship forms!  Once you have set up a page, you can copy and paste the link into an email and send to everyone in your address book. Sponsors pay by debit or credit card at the time of sponsoring, saving you the hassle of having to collect it afterwards.

How do I set up a page?

  Go to the website www.virginmoneygiving.com and click “Create your page”

  Choose “Organised event” and type in “Four Course Classic”

  Then simply follow the steps to create your account and customise your page.

How does someone sponsor?

When they receive your email, they simply click on the link and that will connect them to your online fundraising page.

What happens to the money?

Virgin Money Giving transfer the donations straight to the charity, along with any gift aid due on the donation.

Do people prefer the personal touch when being asked to sponsor?

It really depends on the person. Previous participants in our events have told us they find it easier to ask for sponsorship through their online fundraising page as you can approach people from a distance.
