The prizes for the golf marathon in 2012

As a result of some of the wonderful photos that were sent in on the day of the event last year we have introduced another few prize categories for 2012's event - Best photograph of the day and most entertaining team photograph of the day.

All golfers who take part in the event will be automatically entered into the three competition categories. All golfers who take part in the event will be automatically entered into the four competition categories. To be eligible for the Stableford scoring competition there is a maximum permitted handicap of 18. If you have a handicap higher than 18 then you can still enter the competition but with a handicap of 18 only. For ease of scoring this year, full handicap is being used for scoring (with a maximum of 18). To ensure fairness the handicaps of the winning golfers will be verified with the relevant golf club or body.

The competition categories and prizes are as follows for 2012:

  • Highest team fundraising total - Prize TBA
  • Highest team Stableford score across four rounds - Prize TBA
  • Best photographs of the day - A signed specially designed flag from Nick Faldo. It is a one off commemorative pin flag, depicting Nick's 3 Open Championship wins.  This prize also includes a signed photograph of Nick Faldo.
